Auburn Athletics Launches New Official Mobile App


Auburn Athletics, FOX Sports College Properties and Hopscotch, a mobile-technology leader for sports and live events, released the new official mobile app of Auburn Athletics. It is free and available for immediate download on the App Store and on Google Play.

“It was important for us to upgrade our mobile app presence with the latest and greatest technology,” Associate Athletics Director for Strategic Communications Cassie Arner said.

“This new app lets Auburn fans engage with their favorite teams in a more personalized way. This app also creates better opportunities to deliver needed information and compelling content directly to our fans.”

The new app provides:

    • Info for multiple sports: Fans can select their favorite student-athletes and sports to personalize app content. Football, soccer, volleyball and equestrian are in the app now. All men’s and women’s teams will be added to the app within weeks.
    • Scores: Fans can access live-game scoreboards, box scores and stats via an integration with
    • Schedules: Fans can buy tickets to upcoming home games on their mobile devices via a Spectra integration.
    • A Fan Zone: Fans can place auction bids on exclusive game-day experiences, listen live on game day via a TuneIn integration and maybe even see their own social media content on the jumbo screen via a Tagboard integration.
    • Breaking news: Fans get exclusive videos, articles and photos, plus social streams.
    • Geo-targeted notifications: Technology allows the app to provide updates and information that impacts fans regardless of where they follow Auburn.

FOX Sports College Properties manages the university’s multimedia rights and sponsorship sales under the newly formed Auburn Sports Properties team. FOX plans to use its PROcast mobile video platform to offer exclusive, behind-the-scenes videos of Auburn student-athletes that can only be found in the Auburn Athletics app. Verizon is on board as the app’s title sponsor.
